Sessions with the Boys and Girls Club

This week the Big Bang Foundation started their music class through the Boys and Girls Club. Their partnership with the Boys And Girls Club for its summer program called “The Studio” comes full circle with Big Bang teaching a class called “Sessions”. The name Sessions is a draw back to Big Bang during their music days being bored and started having Studio Sessions where they’d come up with raps, sing, come up with dances and more creative ways to use the mind add talent and have fun while being creative. So now with the Sessions class we are giving the kids of the Boys and Girls Club this same opportunity. Week one we explained the process of making a song  The Chorus or Hook, The Verses, The Beat, and recording. Our second day we started coming up with lyrics, rhyming words, counting bars, remixing songs and dancing. The kids also voted on a group name and decided on BBK Music which stands for Big Bang Kids. We gave out wristbands and notebooks to kids in attendance. Next week we’re going to start recording, continue practicing dance move, and learning more about the music industry. The end results are we are going to have the kids record a cover song, remix an existing song, and come up with an original song. Maybe even get to perform those songs at the Farmers Market Event August 6th or the Rock The River event at the Amphitheater August 15th.

The confirmed days for Sessions are as follows

Wednesday July 20th 1pm

Friday July 29th 1pm

Tuesday August 2nd 1pm

There will also be a second day each week that I’m there but that will vary.
